Bit of a dull day but with a northerly wind so I decided to ride to Musselburgh since it’s an east west ride, keeps me out of the wind Little bit of rain but didn’t come to much thankfully. Clocked up 70 miles in basically a straight ride there and back again.

Ride 15/04/2017
Mixed bag of weather day but mostly windy with some rain here and there which is why it was a slow ride. I wasn’t planning to go up Tak Ma Doon hill but felt fine by the time I got to Kilsyth so I thought what the hell.

Evan Cycles Callander road ride 08/04/2017
So it’s that time of year again and we’re onto the Evans Cycles Callander Road Event. I went for the medium ride as per usual and it was the same course as last year with a couple of changes in the feed stops. Felt like I had my foot to the floor for most of the way given how soar my legs are but thankfully I’m not knackered. Actually now that I compare rides I was only 12 mins faster than last year oh well I must be getting old

Another sunny weekend so it was up over the Ochills twice, once to Dunning and the other to Dollar and clocking up 67 miles. Of course going up hills plays havoc with your avg speed which was why it dropped to 14 mph and I’m knackered now but this puts me in good stead for next weekends Evans Cycle Ride in Callander.
Ride 25/03/2017
Well it’s a nice sunny day but still a little on the cold side up here and with the winds on the light side it was a pleasant ride. Decided to ride over Carron valley to Fintry and down to Killearn. Then around the Milton Campsies to Kilsyth and back home, clocking up 60 miles.
Ride 11/03/2017
A rather dull slightly wet day but the temps were fine so I decided to ride to Strathblane, in a round about way Thankfully it didn’t rain hard mostly spitting here and there. So clocked up 50 miles today, or slightly more had I started the garmin at the beginning of the ride at least it didn’t crash this week. Sore legs again but it wasn’t as hilly as last week so not too bad.
Ride 05/03/2017
Well it turned out to be a pleasant afternoon but started a bit cloudy but weather aside todays ride was a good one. Decided to ride up to Knockhill, it’s been a while since I was up there and today was a good day to do it. Started off going to Kincardine and along to Powmill, it was then a climb up to Knockhill and down to Dunfermline and a reasonable ride back to Kincardine. It’s been 2 weeks since the last ride so this was a tough ride to get back into the saddle and an average speed of 15 mph isn’t bad either, sore legs by the time I got back home but worth it
Ride 18/02/2017
Well suffice to say my garmin crashed again and I lost half my cycling data I’ll be glad when I upgrade this to the 820, hopefully it won’t crash. Anyway todays ride should have been 35 miles in roughly 2 hours 15 mins, taking me to westfield and over Twechar along to Kirkintilloch and back home through Kilsyth, Dennyloanhead and Bonnybridge. It was a wet windy day so I wan’t looking to got far and thankfully I wasn’t soaked by the time I got home.

It’s a cold wet day but not as bad as yesterday which is why I elected to ride today rather than yesterday. Decided to do my route around the Forth River with a slight detour through Boness rather than going through Livingston. Thankfully it had stopped raining by the time I reached the Forth road bridge so I could take of my rain gear. Bit of a slow ride and 44 miles knocked out but given that it was 2 degrees Celsius and my hands and feet were starting to get very cold that was about as much as I could tolerate.
Ride 29/01/2017
So it’s a dry slightly cloudy day with a little wind but still on the cold side and I decided to to cycle to Twechar, hadn’t been their in a while. A fairly undulating ride but nothing too hilly at least not until I got to Slamannan but by this time it was all downhill. 40 miles clocked up and it got a little sunny towards the end but by this time it was lunchtime so I headed home for food.
Ride 21/01/2017
Well after 3 weeks of the worst cold I think I’ve every had I finally feel good enough to get the first ride of the new year in, and what a day to do it on. It was freezing and ridiculously foggy to the point in some places I couldn’t see any further than 10m in front of me. Decided given the weather conditions I would stick to roads well traveled. A short ride today but given I haven’t ridden in a while it was probably best to not go to hard especially in the weather conditions.
Ride 17/12/2016
Another mild winters day so it was back on the road bike and doing a ride I call north loop. Basically a flat ride to Stirling head north to the A9 along this to Dollar then swing south again to Saline and Cairneyhill. Once here I follow the Forth river back to Kincardine and on to home. A little windy in places but nothing to drastic and 48 miles clocked up.
