Ride 27/06/2015 Faslane Loop

Ride 27/06/2015

Well after 108 miles of cycling I don’t feel too bad, tired, slightly sore neck but all in all better than I was expecting for such a long ride. Anyway decided to ride to Garelochhead which is just past Faslane Naval base, hadn’t been this far west before and I wanted to ride against the prevailing wind and then have it pushing me home again. Not too bad a ride, not too hilly and not too flat, especially as I was cycling over towards Loch Lomond which required me to cycle over some big hill. Weather was ok, cloudy but warm and that westerly wind, but my stupid garmin dropped my sensors again >:-( and I didn’t see this as I was following the map. Giving some serious thoughts on replacing it.

Ride 29/06/2013

Ride 29/06/2013 by Paul Lund at Garmin Connect – Details.

K-N-A-C-K-E-R-E-D! The first 40 miles was with a 12 mph head behind me but of course the second i turned around to head back home I was screwed. 40 miles with a 12 mph in my face. Bad idea to ride in that, I was forced to use my emergency energy rations which I have never had to do in the 2 and a half years that I’ve been riding just to get me home and I nearly didn’t make it. I’m going to pay a hefty price for this one

So it begins…

Ok we will be flying out to Vietnam this Saturday to start our BHF Vietnam to Cambodia charity bike ride. I’d hoped I would be able to blog this in real time but circumstances dictate that I cannot, so i’ll be keeping a paper log as I ride and then when I’m back home i’ll write up the blog. We’re not allowed to take video cameras and even with an ordinary camera I am limited to what I am allowed to take a pictures of.

But I will be allowed to take some pictures so hopefully once i’m back home I’ll upload them to the blog and my web site as well

Flight to Northampton

So whilst I was down at my Dad’s to do the BHF ride my dad took me for a flight in his microlight on Sunday. We flew from High Wycombe to Northampton where the microlight was scheduled to have some maintenance done to it. I took the opportunity to take some pictures during the flight The flight was 30 mins but it took over an hour to drive back to Wycombe.
