Reasonable day to be riding, bright but not sunny, too much cloud around. Hill start up to Shieldhill then an undulating ride to Slamannan, Adrie and following the train track cycle path to Bathgate. From their to Linlithgow and back home. Reasonable fast for my mountain bike clocking up 50 miles in 3.5 hours but again there was very little wind around

It started out ok, a little sunshine here and there, but the last hour of the ride it got dark and pissed down. Thankfully I had my lights but no wet gear, so I got wet…
I have no idea whats going on with the elevation graph cos it’s well fucked, should look nothing like that I pre-planned the ride so I knew what it would look like, but it’s nothing like that and I’ve no idea how that happened

OMG cycling in gale force winds is bloody hard and cross winds are a bit scary. Hadn’t cycled in 10 days so was determined to get some done no matter the weather, besides it’s even windier tomorrow.

A most excellent ride today going south saves me having to ride through Birmingham so I was into the villages and heaths going a nice straight route at speed Cycled to Great Malvern and back clocking up 54 miles in just over 3 hours.

So whilst down in Birmingham visiting my sister I did a little cycling basically a straight shot north and back again. Nice little ride once you get out of Birmingham and up to Cannock Chase where you get into the country side and up into he trails. Loads of mountain bikes up there so I stopped for some lunch before I headed back.

Bit of a cold start to this morning but there was less wind and it was still sunny. Less of a hilly ride than yesterdays ride but still a few hills to climb and going an easterly route this time. Still a good ride clocking up 48 miles in under 3 hours.

Although its a sunny day it’s bloody cold and windy, so it’s just as well I was riding a hilly ride. Hills from the get go up to Shieldhill then along to Airdrie, with a head wind in ma face all the way and down to Cumbernauld and Kilsyth. It’s at this point I hit Tak Ma Doon hill, thankfully at this point the wind is behind me so It’s not such a big deal to get up it. Then it’s a wonderful 15 miles downhill ride back to Falkirk

Starting to feel the cold now so it’s on with the cycling trousers and base layers and a quick ride to knockhill racing circuit and back. With a brisk northerly wind but no rain it turned out to be an pretty good ride, 50 miles clocked up in 3 hours
