Ride 18/02/2024

A pretty good day for cycling weather wise, it was dry, a little bit of wind but best of all it wasn’t cold, we even hit double digits and sunshine today I decided to start early today and get some extra in the morning before the bun run started at 10:00. I headed down to Dalgety Bay and along the coast, up to Crossford and Cairneyhill before double backing on myself to Dunfermline to join the bun run group, doing just over 20 miles before the start of the ride. There were 8 of us on the bun run today, doing the usual route to Muircott for our cafe stop. Having worked up an appetite this morning I went for the usual coffee and cake but also had a scrambled egg to to boot We headed back the usual route but this time Ken and I went home via Dalgety Bay and up to Crossgates rather than back into Dunfermline and to Crossgates, it give us a few extra miles and allowed me to make it up to my target of 70 miles for this mornings ride at an avg speed of 15 mph.
